
Montenegro has two airports located within the reasonable distance from the city of Bar.
The airport in the Montenegrin capital Podgorica is 46 km away from Bar. It can be reached from the international airports in Belgrade, Vienna and Rome with direct flights every day. Other direct flights, two to three times a week, include connections with:
Frankfurt, Ljubljana, Brussels, Istanbul, Moscow, Ancona, Bari, Brindisi, Zurich, Dusseldorf, Copenhagen, Lyon, London, Ljubljana, Moscow, Naples, New York, Paris, Sarajevo, Tel Aviv, Dubai and Saint Petersburg.
The other airport is located near Tivat, a coastal town 59 km away from Bar. Direct flights are: Belgrade (every day), Leipzig and Munich (Thursday and Sundays), Moscow (Wednesday, Friday and Sunday).

We also advise you to check flights to Dubrovnik (Croatia) and Tirana (Albania) and catch a bus to Bar.
Alternatively, you can travel to Bar by train from Belgrade (Serbia), or by ferry from Bari and Ancona (Italy).
The official currency in Montenegro is the euro (€) although Montenegro is still not a member state of the European Union. Montenegro is not in the Schengen Area, but a considerable number of countries are exempt from the visa requirement for stays up to 90 days. To check if you are exempt from the visa requirements please consult the Regulation on the visa regime. In case you are required to obtain a visa prior to your arrival to Montenegro, you will need to contact the nearest Embassy or consulate of Montenegro.
